First, it calculates the total calories needed per day using the formula:
Calories per day=Weight (kg)×Activity Multiplier×70
Where the activity multiplier changes depending on whether your cat is a neutered adult, active adult, or a kitten.
This multiplier accounts for the different energy needs based on activity level.
Next, it divides the total daily calories by the calorie content per gram of the food, which differs for kittens and adult cats.
Kittens consume more calorie-dense food. Finally, it divides this total daily food amount by the number of meals per day to find out how much food should be given in each meal.
